Dear July, Just before leaving…..

julyy

I was born on the last day of July. People have asked me why i didn’t just enter august rather than just stick with the July month…

Wonderful month 😉

People keep writing lists of what they want from life before another year shows up…

Me i’m here to write all that i’ve learned in life as i’m here to wrap up the month

A shout out to my twinnie, Titi, same day and same year but different mothers, I LOVE YOU

Tomorrow is the beginning of a new year for me, I guess. I look at my age and whoa! I’m getting older?

Infact we all are…

Well not Old-Old but if you were among the peeps doing “aye aye in my post of Kids born in the 80s and early 90s, you’ll understand me better.#wink.

Okies, enough about age rant, like seriously, who wants to start hearing about a chica in her age although almost all the people I’ve encountered keep trying to reduce my age for me due to my babyface and stature. Someone tells me it’s a good thing but I’m like being called a teenager or

“hello you, are you about to write jamb? Or “are you not going back to school?’’ is not funny and this keeps getting me freaked out. And then my big brother couples it by acting protective….I have told that boy to stop spoiling market for me and let people stop insinuating he’s my boyfriend of some sort.

#adjusts mike and gives grateful speech^^

In all my years on earth, things haven’t really been a bed of roses and sometimes I’ve done things or said things that I wish I could take back but I’m learning.

I learn every day.

I still love adding a pinch of salt to my Oats and I think it’d taste awkward if I don’t.

I might not be a neat freak, but I like my things being the way I left them. Well, I’ve lived long enough to know that human beings such as friends, family and freak shows are not gonna make that happen.

I’ve learned to see God in everything and try being positive about life.

I’m still learning not to judge. This proves a little hard sometimes with my job as a pharmacist as people come telling you their stories of how they did this and that and how you could help out..sigh**

Sometimes I wish I could just hand them a pamphlet

I’ve learned to appreciate the rich smell of coffee, tea bags, clothes that get dry after washing with a good soap and nature in the morning. Don’t blame me, I have to wake as early as 4am sometimes to leave for work so the smell of nature is unavoidable..,,

I’ve learned to watch Bill Cosby and fall in love with that one show that can never be replaced. Family bonding is precious and important.

I’ve learned that somethings don’t always work out on the ways we plan them but we just have to pray and keep believing God for everything. After all he was right there before your ancestors even thought of existing.

I’ve learned not to trust anyone. Sometimes you can’t even trust yourself. Oh, but I trust God. It’s pretty annoying because you’re a truthful person, people start assuming you’ll be gullible as well…, like seriously?!!! Well I fell for it long ago but that’s what we call Lessons learned.

I’ve learned to live, laugh and love. Don’t get jealous, just be happy and pray for your own to come since Baba God is in the neighborhood.

I’ve learned to laugh at myself. Sometimes it’s good but sometimes, you could freak people out so just stop it after 10seconds.

I’ve learned to ignore annoying and irritating folks rather than punch them in the face.

I’ve learned that I can’t always please everybody.

I’ve learned to reserve my eye cells for much more important things rather than gossip and unwarranted rumors or shows that have no business with what I want in life. Maybe growing up with boys has a lot of impact to play on the type of movies I like e.g Lord of the Rings. (I mean it’s hard not to imagine yourself with a sword or arrow when you think of that movie),

the kind of shows I CANNOT watch e.g Kim K’s Timeline or whatever it is they call it. am I being too boyish? I dunno but the last time I checked, that show wasn’t meant to determine my feminine side. #No pun intended

I’ve learned to make lists…and this list involves seeing Dolphins and tap dancing before I die or before the world comes to an end.

The movies these days…sigh** it’s either the white house is coming down or the apocalypse is coming. Or we’re into some sort of future that is located in America…

Don’t forget the aliens too. Oh where’s Speilberg and Tom Cruise by the way?

Okay, enough of me!..Happy birthday to me! Its 31st of July babay!!! Wish myself Long life and prosperity.

In all things, i give thanks!

Thanks for all the birthday wishes on Monday and the ones that will be coming in advance!

Much love.., xo!

I know with the way i love kids, i talk about them, everybody is fighting for child rights et al, I should be here ranting about how some “humans” with the tag “leaders” shouldn’t be passing crazy laws up and down and signing things that aren’t worth signing.

This is NOT NEWS.….

As you are all aware, except you don’t really pay attention to headlines, watch news or at least see some news displaying on the internet, So many bills are being passed on. Crazy bills, Ungodly decisions and laws are being passed all over the world and Nigeria and YOU tell me you’re still talking story?

My friend!!….will you go on your knees and start praying!!

You call yourself a Christian, a worshipper of God and yet you’re there talking politics with people, arguing when people are arguing…, like an ignorant person, or rather, like a blind man leading the blind ready to fall into a ditch….

And yet you have such a Powerful weapon such as Prayer and you sit saying this and that…talking about leaders not having sense, do you think they are thinking on their own? do you think most of them even know what they are doing? Do you think the god of this world will just sit and be watching so that Christians can have their way?

Don’t you know there’s more than meets the eye?

Don’t you know the devil knows he has a short time span and he’s making haste?

Call the devil all sorts of names but my dear friends, Never call him a fool…because that guy knows what he’s doing,it’s we Christians that sometimes don’t even know what we’re doing or what we’re here for.

Well, just so you know, the bible tells us that we wrestle NOT against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers. against the rulers of the darkness of this world. against SPIRITUAL WICKEDNESS in high places…Ephesians 6v12

and yet you tell me you want to sit down and start analyzing things to people? or play politics?

As far as this whole matters arising is concerned, the ruler of this world, the god of this world is here, Just like Jesus said…., but bummer, he found nothing in Jesus…

WIll he find something in you?

As long as the god of this world keeps ruling, well things might not get better but worse and so prepare yourself, gird your loins and keep your lamps burning cos you’re going to be the light the world needs to guide them through, to show them the way…

Cos they are LOST!

Don’t think Prayers are not being answered…i tell you a fact!! GOD answers prayers and listens to them. infact you can come boldly to the throne of grace to plead your cause and if it stands on the Word of God, you’ll win the case.

Who plays a better advocate anyway than Jesus himself?….

My point here is this. We Christians talk a lot much more than action. Imagine a Christian talking about Bokoharam when you should start praying that God should arrest them. someone would criticize me that ehn…, is it only prayer, won’t they do something? well, if you’ve lived long enough in Nigeria or in this world to know somethings, Terrorists are terrible people and are not driven by the spirit of God. Whosoever isn’t driven by the spirit of God and goes about killing people and shedding innocent blood is most definitely driven by the devil. and so you tell me you want to start having a convo with the devil? abeg give him what will make him run fast without looking back.

PRAYER!!

The devil will do anything…, but trust me, He wont PRAY!

Infact i myself slacked in my prayer life one time till i got scolded by the spirit to pray more and stop talking. Talking WONT and i repeat WONT!!!! solve what Prayer can. Prayer in Action said the right way will reach places and perform wonders!!
infact, it will bring a revival.

Good news, Jesus already overcame the world. He says I am not of the world, but i’m just hear to carry out a mission. and so, even when people are complaining, it should be different for you because in Christ, You’re an over-comer. You are the lamp the world needs, the salt to season the world and the voice crying out..”the kingdom of God is at hand!”

Pray for Your nation first of all…1Tim21v2..Yes, first of all.

You’ll be surprised that on the last day, God will hold most of us Christians responsible for not praying for our country or interceding for people and the nation as a whole. You need to see the prayer tempo of Christians when it comes to Pray for Nigeria prayers in Chruch and people start sitting down or dozing off or just chewing mouth like chewing stick…

I myself i’m guilty of such..lool, but i’m going to change. i just got a wake up call!!

Pray for Those who are not in Christ, those who are still babies in Christ and yourself that you may be found blameless before God on the Judgement day.

I pray for you all reading this…

Love you so much!!! xo

P.S: kenneth E. Hagin’s ‘Art Of Prayer’ and some recent occurrences charged up the prayer fever within me. Try getting your hands on this book or all of his books if possible. I tell you your life will never be the same!!!

My Grandpa died on the 3rd of July 2013. On a Wednesday. My grandmother died 25years ago, a day after 3rd of July.

She died July 4th, 25years ago.

I wasn’t really close to my Grandpa but the little i know was that he was just amusing and amazing in his own way. He was an old man. He grew up in a Baptist Church and that was where we attended whenever we went over to his House.

He was quite stubborn and this attitude brought a smile to my face. Old people just have their beliefs and they stick by it either a professional advises them or not.

As long as you’re still a Child or grandchild of theirs. They believed they knew better than you.

I remember his tone whenever he calls my phone with the intention of getting across to my mum. He’d call to say…”HALLO…” this greeting made me laugh and how he tried to relate to me in English when we talked was amusing as well.

God talked to me about his death years ago. that was before he went blind though. But I still cried. Because he’s gone. I can see him no more on earth but i know i will someday.

In Heaven.

I’m glad for one thing. When God talked to me about his death about 3years ago, he wasn’t in Christ, but i knew what he wanted me to do. You know when you just know that this is God’s spirit leading you and so i told my mum and she prayed for him and talked to him about Christ.

He was willing though!! can you imagine my joy when i was told Grandpapa said Yes to Jesus.

And then years later, three days ago, he dies.

I wasn’t able to respond to any of you guy’s comments here or anyplace else either due to his death et al. I wanted to honour him here first before moving on…with my stories.

And so here’s to you Grand-papa, I love you. i will miss you. Momma really cried while you were gone and here i am now, typing all of this with tears in my eyes.

You were old but we still miss you.

#sniffs

G’nyt Grandpa, see you on the other side.

Much love. xo
