I hope this is the last time I get to introduce my new blog here. Loool.

What are you hanging on to?

I read this post Mandy shared with her readers yesterday and I almost had tears in my eyes.

P.S: If you haven’t followed that awesome lady, please do so already! Her words are always like a soothing balm.

Sometimes we’ve been in situations where we would ask ourselves why would God want us to leave something when there’s nothing else in sight for us. Be it relationship, or career or something very precious to us. Something similar happened with my blog thing which my Dad happened to spend some money on as his gift to me (because He knew how much I loved writing and so I was hurt when everything happened that way)

But I’m really grateful to God that He’d been teaching me not to hang on too much to certain things and the blog was one of them.

We ask ourselves secretly if God enjoys taking precious things away from us…, reading this story re-affirmed something in me. That God is love, and everything He does for us, is for us. For our own good. Never has he been selfish, never would he do something outside His nature which is Love(1Cor13)

P.S: The way God just keeps looking out for me even when the devil or things just want me to feel bad about myself or certain things, I just can’t love Him enough but He sees how huge my heart is for Him. Even days when I don’t feel like my best, He still loves me. I’m sure He does the same for you too. So smile, because Jesus loves you.

I hope you read and be blessed.

“The cheerful girl with bouncy golden curls was almost five. Waiting with her mother at the checkout stand, she saw them: a circle of glistening white pearls in a pink foil box.

‘Oh please, Mommy. Can I have them? Please, Mommy, please!’

Quickly the mother checked the back of the little foil box and then looked back into the pleading blue eyes of her little girl’s upturned face.

‘A dollar ninety-five. That’s almost two dollars. If you really want them, I’ll think of some extra chores for you and in no time you can save enough money to buy them for yourself.’…

At last she had enough money to buy the necklace. Jenny loved her pearls. They made her feel dressed up and grown up. She wore them everywhere–Sunday school, kindergarten, even to bed…

Jenny had a very loving daddy and every night when she was ready for bed, he would stop whatever he was doing and come upstairs to read her a story. One night when he finished the story, he asked Jenny, ‘Do you love me?’

‘Oh yes, Daddy. You know that I love you.’

‘Then give me your pearls.’

‘Oh, Daddy, not my pearls. But you can have Princess–the white horse from my collection. The one with the pink tail. Remember, Daddy? The one you gave me. She’s my favorite.’

‘That’s okay, Honey. Daddy loves you. Good night.’ And he brushed her cheek with a kiss.

About a week later, after the story time, Jenny’s daddy asked again, ‘Do you love me?’

‘Daddy, you know I love you.’

‘Then give me your pearls.’

‘Oh Daddy, not my pearls. But you can have my babydoll. The brand new one I got for my birthday. She is so beautiful and you can have the yellow blanket that matches her sleeper.’

‘That’s okay. Sleep well. God bless you, little one. Daddy loves you.’ And as always, he brushed her cheek with a gentle kiss.

A few nights later when her daddy came in, Jenny was sitting on her bed with her legs crossed Indian-style. As he came close, he noticed her chin was trembling and one silent tear rolled down her cheek.

‘What is it, Jenny? What’s the matter?’

Jenny didn’t say anything but lifted her little hand up to her daddy. And when she opened it, there was her little pearl necklace. With a little quiver, she finally said,

‘Here, Daddy. It’s for you.’

With tears gathering in his own eyes, Jenny’s kind daddy reached out with one hand to take the dime-store necklace, and with the other hand he reached into his pocket and pulled out a blue velvet case with a strand of genuine pearls and gave them to Jenny.

He had them all the time. He was just waiting for her to give up the dime-store stuff so he could give her genuine treasure.”

P.S2: Don’t forget to share!! You never know who might need it. 🙂

Who do you look like?

Thanks to Pristine for asking me to re post this. She made me aware that most of my readers hadn’t seen this.

I hope it blesses you as you read as much as it blessed me as I write.

If there’s something the enemy of our soul is totally against, it’s looking like Jesus. Because when we begin to look like him or work towards looking like him, we begin to overcome the power of sin over our lives.
Jesus said, “the prince of this world came and found nothing in me.”

Ever wondered why the rate at which magazines, media and the world celebrates make-up and celebrities that people fight to look like. Plastic surgery and the likes are the in-thing and so people are not trying to look anything like God as he wants man to. We can quote Genesis where God created man to be in his image and likeness but the only one who ever became in his image and likeness aka express image of the father was Jesus
And God wants us to be like Him, hence calling him the firstborn and adopting us into his family by which we can cry abba father.

Humans are now trying to look like other people, stories of transgender and all sorts have taken over our media now, the enemy of our soul has succeeded in convincing men that when they look like certain people or something far from what God intended us to look like, we will become loved and fulfilled
Idolatry has taken over in an alarming rate. Let’s read on

I saw a picture of a man online who injected himself with steroids because he wanted to look like the Hulk. Another had done so much surgery to look like Clark Kent aka superman. Another man had done strange things to his face to look like Kim Kardashian and I shook my head at the folly of man and believe me it’s not going to end there.

God opened my understanding of where Paul talked about not focusing merely on the way you look outside as what is inside is what really matters
But we have allowed ourselves to work contrary to this scripture. The world operates against God no doubt but as Christians we have allowed the world teach us against our savior.
This is what baffles me the most. That idolatry has caught up with Christians as well. Isn’t it amazing or does it not baffle you when a Christian believes a red lipstick is the only thing she needs to boost her confidence? Or a tattoo is what makes you happy or feel comfortable in your own skin? Or a good foundation or concealer is what defines you and if it stays In place all day, then you’re on top of the world?

And so it makes me sad that someone who has been redeemed looks to these things like a savior when they’re just instruments of illusion. They are there for temporal functions and they have no role in making you look like Jesus.
They do not change your inner man, they only boost the outward appearance and takes your attention from what needs work
The real you inside .

Now don’t get me wrong. I’m not saying it’s not good to look your best on certain days, neither am I advocating against make up and plastic surgery. Sometimes I fall under the same category myself but we have to remind ourselves that we can’t continue exalting our flesh when we want our inner man to be beautified. We have to start focusing on how to make our inner construct like that of Jesus.

We have to come to the understanding that God would rather have us thinking on his word as our life source than food(guilty) or temporal things to beautify our outward appearance or give us confidence that doesn’t take root in Gods word.

The same applies to the physical beauty agenda the world is pushing to us everyday. They tell us to like our own skin and yet give us photoshopped and edited pictures of people who have no regard for God but themselves(idolatry) and some of these people become our role models. Most of these pictures are not even real and they show us what we want to see. What will sell on Media. I’m trying to imagine if there was a camera that could take pictures of our insides, then maybe we would be careful when we pick role models.

You see people praising people that their make up is on point and yet how many of these people have commended you that your growth is on point or you still need to grow by spending time with God?

How many of your friends have seen you after a long time and after chatting, they commended on how beautiful you’ve turned out inside. I remember the day a friend told me she read something from me and She could see that I’ve grown because believe me, years ago, I couldn’t say the same about my status in Christ.

Believe me that comment made me happier than you telling me my make up is on point.

Why?

Because that’s what really matters, that’s what God is concerned about and what he can work with and if rooted in love will stand the test of time when its all been said and done

So that you can become that man or woman he wants you to become.

To look like Jesus

So I’ll ask you again?

Who do you look like? And who do you want to keep looking like?

The people of the world or Jesus? Pick one.

Much love.xo!

About my Suspended Blog

Hello everyone, I hope you’ve all been good, you and all that’s yours? My week has just been something. I don’t even know where to start from.

Okay, first, I want to clarify things about the on and off blog thing that’s been going on. My blog is currently undergoing some issues and I do hope it’s restored soon. I was told it was due to someone spamming my site due to some vulnerability of some sort. I can’t even gain access and so I had to come back to this former one for the time being so that it doesn’t stop me from posting anything.

When it gets resolved, I’ll let you know. And if it doesn’t, oh well, all things work together for good. 🙂

Thanks for all who kept bugging about the suspended site. Thanks for caring.

And for everyone currently reading the blog, still following glowingscenes with all the issues it keeps coming down with thanks, I appreciate you all. Life can be unpredictable, what matters is how we react to it.

Thanks once again.

P.S: If you haven’t subscribed to this wordpress blog, you can do so. It’s quite easy. Some subscribed at the time I was still writing here so you should get my articles whenever I post.

Much love. xo!

Why I Don’t Love My Fiance

Wow!! This made me see things in a different perspective and enlightening as well..

Michael J. Pittman

In 130 days I’m getting married, and a friend recently asked me why I love my fiancé. I wanted to share a deeper perspective on Amanda and I’s relationship, so before I answered why I love her, I had to first explain to him the reasons I don’t love my future bride to be.

I came to two conclusions:
First is, I don’t love Amanda for what’s on the outside. I know. It sounds cheesy, it sounds sappy. This perspective is not a novel idea by any means. How many times have you heard someone say, “I don’t love you for what’s on the outside. I love you for what’s on the inside.” But that brings me to my second conclusion.

I don’t love Amanda for what’s on the inside either.

Now don’t get me wrong, there are many things on the inside and outside that I love about

school

The loud bang on our door jerked me up and I never realized it was one of the ‘Seniors’ who was responsible for doing that.

I don’t think I had a good sleep though since I wasn’t even happy to be in the school, but I know what I heard or thought I heard.

The Senior girl was Yelling..

“Junior girls, before I count ro 10, none of you must be here…, to the bathroom!”

1, 2, 3, 4, 5,……………..

And that was when the rushing began and I saw everyone running helter skelter, buckets of water spilling as their owners hurriedly pulled them from underneath the bed. Soap cases and sponges, together with toothpastes on brushes.

Sometimes, all you need do is carry the whole pack of soap, sponge, toothpaste and brush all together or probably let the sponge float in your bucket of water.

I don’t know if that was a strategy to prevent people from stealing your water or just to reduce the rushing schedule in the morning.

And so, I rushed along, though a little confused with the way things were happening so fast and that was when I realized we were going to have our bath outside the building.

Now that’s cold.

I don’t know if it was the fact that we had to mash up together and bathe in all corners of the concrete slab where the bucket of water was. I mean, you had to put it on the slab so as to prevent the water splashing from the person next to you from spilling inside.

And it was much more comfortable anyway.

This was happening around 4-5am in the morning. I can’t really remember.

You just had to find a way to fix your bucket someplace and bathe. But make sure it’s not close to a Senior.

I started having my bathe and then the counting began to leave and run back to the room to dress up.

I think that’s the time the Seniors preferred to have their bath.

Seniors Had Categories anyway.

And so, the rushing to bathe and hurry back into the junior dormitory to dress up before they caught up with you was another thing I had to deal with.

I don’t know if I ever fell short  during my stay in the school but I know If you remained after 10, you’re told to kneel on the floor or you probably get flogged.

The one I witnessed was the one where we were told to cut grass when we returned.

And so, I tried to avoid all those morning terrors. Somehow it probably made one feel that day is going to be good for you because there was still so much more to happen.

I hurried back into the dormitory and then another counting phase began with the banging on the door.

“10, 9, 8, 7, 6…..’

I later learned that you should have your things prepared by the time you’re returning from the bathroom because most of us had to run outside with our under-wears and creams and sandals and hair comb and whatever it is.

Just pray you’re not caught unaware and get to run outside naked because once you’re outside, you’re not returning into the dormitory but off to your morning duty while the corridor sweepers are told to sweep on you if you remain inside till the last number was called.

Sometimes, you could get flogged. The bush where sticks?cane were obtained from wasn’t that far from my dorm.

As for me, I can’t really remember what I ran outside with.

Quantum Pendant Review

howdy blog fam…

Did I mention that I was given a Quantum Pendant?

Just in case you’re wondering if I have to tie it on my neck, no, you don’t need to 🙂

This is how it looks.

Pendant -1

Secondly it should be attached to your phone.

Pendant - 2

This Quantum Pendant serves as a Radiation Shield.

I’m sure you’ve heard so many gists about Radiation and all sorts and we are exposed to various types everyday. From the one you get being exposed to sun for a long time(Sun stroke) to the ones you get from other devices such as the microwave, phones and so many other devices emitting such electromagnetic waves, the list is just endless.

WHAT THE QUANTUM PENDANT IS:

As the name implies, it’s a shield that helps curb EMF(electromagnetic field) which emanates from mobiles and some electronic appliances.

Considering the hazards caused via exposure to EMF like cancer/tumour development, damaged Eustachian tubes(inside the ear), brain tumour, oligospermia(low sperm count) in men, peripheral neuropathy, etc.

Scientists on the advice of WHO(World Health Organization), invented this shield.

It’s been in use in Canada, USA for over 2yrs. With bulk of it manufactured and shipped from Japan and Malaysia.

It’s meant to be placed on either the phone battery, or on the back-casing close to the antenna beside your camera or speaker vent.

For blackberry phones, it’s better placed on the BB logo.

These are some of the havocs phone radiations may cause to humans;

1)     – Tinnitus,

2)      –Brain tumour, and dementia,

3)      –Oligospermia(low sperm count) in men who pocket phones,

4)      –High risk of Prostate Cancer in men, especially from age 40,

5)      –Benign Prostate Hyperplasia, also in men,

6)      –High risk of development of other forms of cancer because of increased rate of generated free-radicals,

7)      –Increased oestrogen secretion rate in women, even @menopause,

8)      –Stress-induced fatigue, also as a result of increase in the level of free-radicals.

And, here are facts based on good research works—-

The effect of mobile phone radiation on human health is the subject of recent interest and study, as a result of the enormous increase in mobile phone usage throughout the world (as of November 2011, there were more than 6 billion subscriptions worldwide…

The rate at which energy is absorbed by the human body is measured by the Specific Absorption Rate (SAR), and its maximum levels for modern handsets have been set by governmental regulating agencies in many countries recommends that, due to the lack of any data relating to children and long term use of mobile phones, parents encourage their children to limit their exposure by reducing call time, by making calls where reception is good, by using hands-free devices or speaker options, or by texting.

Also, a 2009 study examined the effects of exposure to radio-frequency radiation (RFR) emitted by standard GSM cell phones on the cognitive functions of humans. The study confirmed longer (slower) response times to a spatial working memory task when exposed to RFR from a standard GSM cellular phone placed next to the head.

HEALTH BENEFITS OF THE PENDANT

– Improve chronic fatigue conditions

– Improves balance and flexibility

– Natural energy healing

– Reduces inflammation, arthritis, body aches and joint pains

– Reduce negative effects of EMF/EMR radiation

– Promotes unclamping of cells
